The art beads of this piece are so pretty yet so hard to photograph. The images do not capture the depth of the beads individually created by a nationally recognized glass artist. Each has a tiny handmade rosebud encased in clear glass then covered on the outside with tiny raised white dots....thus the name of this piece.
The art glass beads are strung with genuine freshwater pearls and smaill Swarovski crystals in rose and pink. What makes this piece so special, in addition to those tiny frozen rosebuds, is the addition of vintage glass beads. These are really unusual; one side of each round is lightly coated with aurora borealis and though the bead is mostly matte, there are little circle facets. Hard to explain, impossible to see in pictures on the web, but trust me, it was hard to part with these little beauties. The effect is really cool - not sparkly but it glistens. Kinda like -um- rosebuds in snow.
About 38 inches long, you can wear the necklace long or doubled. The earrings are a demure 1 inch from the loop of the sterling silver pierced leverbacks.
