Designing this necklace was such a kick because the pendant is like nothing I've seen before. It boasts a very large (about 1 1/2 by 2" on its longest sides) Mookaite stone cut and set in an abstract, off center, unique way. This specimen is not dyed; it has a natural streak of yellow in a wine red-to-light terra cotta colored stone. It feels substantial but not too heavy. The pendant alone is valued at over the price of the whole piece!
Mookaite comes from Australia and is purported to induce versatility. The setting includes a faceted genuine Citrine marquise shaped stone. Citrine is believed to attract wealth.
The necklace itself is also made of Mookaite beads alternating with sterling silver beads that mimic the design of the pendant. The necklace is finished with a sterling silver chain, a sturdy sterling lobster clasp and a Swarovski crystal droplet.
Ths necklace is adjustable from about 15" to about 17".
