The glass beads in this necklace are interesting because they look old but aren't. They are a warm taupe or beige color and crackled to show a silver lining. They are connected on one end to a graceful silver plate heart loop and on the other end to a lovely specimen of Orbicular Jasper. That stone is believed to help the wearer accept responsibility and to instill patience. The stone is cut in a slightly rounded taper showing off lovely markings of the snow leopard in white, cream, taupe, beige and a bit of grey.
The earrings are made of the same crackled beads and wired to ear threaders. If you've never tried ear threaders, you'll be thrilled at how comfortable they are. At the far end of the earring is a straight sterling silver bar connected to a thin chain which is then connected to a "U" shaped silver wire. Thread the bar and chain through the hole in the ear lobe until the "U" sits in the hole with the earring on the outside and the threader between your earlobe and your neck.
THe necklace is 20" long plus the stone which is about 2 1/2" long. The earrings will hang about 1 1/1" from the hole in your earlobe.
